RUG CARE

When your rug arrives give her a good (but gentle) vacuum. This will start to wake up the pile and help to remove any creases that have occurred during shipping.

We recommend using a good quality rug grip mat under your vintage rug. This will ensure she stays in place, assist in holding her shape and flatten out any bumps. It will also protect her from unnecessary movement or friction which could damage her delicate vintage pile.

If you need to wash your rug please ensure you take her to a professional who hand washes delicate rugs. Most Persian carpet shops should be able to recommend someone, or provide this service.

You might notice when you vacuum your rug you extract a lot of "rug fluff". This is perfectly normal for a vintage rug! They do like to shed.

ALWAYS be gentle when vacuuming or handling your rug.
