Can you assist with my flight bookings?
If you need assistance booking your flights we highly recommend Ally Casey - Personal Travel Manager (she's the best!)
What happens if I put a deposit down, but then have to cancel?
Unfortunately due to the organisation and budgeting that goes into a trip such as this, all payments, once received, become non-refundable.
Having said that, we are happy to transfer bookings to another name if you are able to source a replacement.
Is this trip suitable for people with mobility issues?
Not really.
Morocco is full of stairs! From the riads to the rooftop restaurants, you must feel comfortable negotiating both stairs and quite a lot of walking. The Medina and Souks are car free zones (just donkeys, carts and scooters allowed!), so we will do most of our exploring on foot. We will also be doing a small hike in the Atlas Mountains to visit the Berber Village, so a moderate level of fitness is required.
What is the weather like?
Marrakech in February is (generally) lovely and sunny! Expect a very comfortable 20-23 degrees during the day, however the nights can get cold, with an average temperature of around 10 degrees.
Essaouira can feel a little colder due to the ocean breezes.
Anything else I should know about travel in Morocco?
It is not advisable to drink the tap water in Morocco. Our accommodation will provide daily bottled water.
Wifi will be available in our accommodation, along with in many restaurants and cafes, however downloading the MAPS.ME app to your phone is a must! It’s similar to Google Maps but works offline, so you can always know where you are when wandering the souks.
Tipping in Morocco is not mandatory, but it is a nice gesture and very much appreciated by staff that have provided a good service. Leaving a cash tip in your room at the end of your stay (if you are happy with the service of course!) is recommended.
When shopping in the souks cash is king. Whilst debit and credit card facilities are available in some shops, they are often out of order. Having said that, most restaurants and cafes accept debit and credit card payments.
ATMs are readily available throughout the Medina.
Itinerary or dates not what you're after?
We can customise separate trips, or even add-ons at the end of the retreat, to suit your needs and dates!
Visit the spectacular Sahara Desert, head north to Tangier & Chefchaouen (Morocco's 'Blue City'), spend some time exploring the Atlantic Coast...the possibilities are endless when it comes to travelling in Morocco!
Please feel free to contact us to discuss your needs.
